This enchanting, 17th-century, thatched cottage lies in a traditional Broadland village of Catfield. The middle one of a little row of three, it is very comfortable with an open fire in feature inglenook fireplace, and enjoys its own large rear garden. Perfect for exploring Broadland, with its delightful villages, nature reserves, bird watching, and miles of reed lined waterways – Hickling Broad is just 4 miles away and Horsey Mere is 9 miles. Boats can be hired at Potter Heigham (3 miles) and sailing, fishing and cycle hire are all available locally. Sea Palling, 5 miles, offers lovely sandy beaches. Norwich 18 miles. Shop/PO and pub serving food 100 yards.

Had a lovely short break here, the cottage is very warm and cosy and a massive garden for the dogs to run around Pub next door a well stocked shop over the road and only a few minutes drive to the beach, can’t wait to come back ☀️☀️

Lovely little cottage set back from the road and with a great garden out the back as well, although October half term wasn’t the time to take full advantage of that! The living/dining room is large for the size of the cottage and very comfortable. Both bedrooms are nice and again very comfortable beds. The kitchen is small but well equipped and for a holiday cottage had everything we needed. Location wise it is a very short drive to places on the broads such as Potter Heigham, Wroxham and so on and it is within a minute’s walk of the Crown Inn if you want to head out for a drink or meal with needing to drive back. We will definitely look to return at some point.
