Littleport is East Cambridgeshire's largest village, located on the banks of the River Ouse about 6 miles north of Ely and 6 miles south-east of Welney. Littleport is a historic community with a variety of attractions, including pubs, shops, and a recreation centre. The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) reserve in the Ouse Washes, which attracts thousands of swans and ducks from northern Europe and the Arctic, is located in the low-lying area near Littleport. The rspb reserve at Ouse Washes is also nearby, with hikes through the wet meadows, and Ely, with its museums and Oliver Cromwell's palace, is only a short drive away. The village of Littleport is an excellent starting point for a holiday in Cambridgeshire.
