There is also a secure cycle store for guests wishing to explore on two wheels. One well-behaved dog is welcome but must remain within the fenced areas of the property.

We really enjoyed our stay, the location is nicely tucked out of the way with very little passing traffic to bother you. The cabin is brilliant with everything you need for a very comfortable stay, the hot tub is an added bonus that we took advantage of on both days. The welcome pack with a map included of the local area is a nice touch that was appreciated, as was the apple juice, biscuits and crisps that we tucked into.The trails around the village are very nice and worth exploring and I can recommend the breakfast at the local garden centre restaurant that is only a 10 minute walk away. The owners have provided everything for a brilliant stay, we would definitely recommend River Meadow retreat for anyone wanting a peaceful break and we will definitely be coming back in the near future.

We arrived to this perfect little pod! It had everything you would need! It was so relaxing and just what I needed after losing my son, to gather myself and process everything! Just sitting relaxing in the hot tub watching the sunset in the middle of nowhere! Everything is so well thought of! Was amazing to turn up and the hot tub was heated and ready to go and plenty of wood to keep it going! Was able to watch some films as had Netflix on the tv’s so perfect when it was raining! Definitely highly recommended and would be going back again! The host gave you a message ahead of your stay to contact her with any issues which was lovely! Thank you so much it was a perfect few days away 🫶🏼

Wow! Can’t find the words, it was a wonderful relaxing break just as myself and my partner had hoped. The hosts are thoughtful and on hand should you need them. Hot tub with the views of the hares bopping through the field was delightful. And the best 2 nights sleep I have had in a very long time. Already recommended the cabin to family and friends. Personally cannot wait to book again for later in the year. Thank you
