Spacious and incredibly stylish, The Old Lavender Barn is located within walking distance of the beach, local pub, and all the amenities the seaside village of Heacham has to offer. Nestled in a peaceful area of the village, this hideaway is popular with couples, families and groups of friends throughout the seasons. The fully enclosed garden is great for dogs on holiday too.

Entered via a grand entrance hall, the property opens out into a welcoming open-plan kitchen/ dining area. Making guests feel immediately at home, the well-equipped kitchen features walnut wood worktops and an island. Thoughtfully designed to feature as the social centre of the property, bar stools provide a perch from which to entertain the nominated chef as they rustle up a delectable meal made using the delicious local produce this area is famed for. Seating for up to six guests is provided by the delightful farmhouse table. Guests will love gathering here to plan the day ahead over a cup of coffee, or sharing in food, wine and conversation long into the evenings. Ample comfortable seating is offered by the tranquil sitting room, which also features french doors leading to an all-weather raised patio area in the enclosed garden. Open up the doors on warm days to let the fresh sea air fill the room. Ideal for less mobile guests, or guests who prefer a bit more privacy away from the group, bedroom two is conveniently located on this floor. Hosting a king-size bed, this bedroom is served by an adjacent shower room.

Upstairs, two further spacious, beautifully-appointed bedrooms are available. The master bedroom provides a sumptuous king-size bed under spectacular vaulted ceilings that feature a Velux window. Famed for its sunsets and sunrises, guests are able to enjoy the colourful skies of Heacham from the comfort of the duvet. Equally splendid bedroom three offers twin beds, and boasts its own en suite facilities. Inspired by the coastal surroundings, the bedrooms have been decorated in muted tones, with all beds dressed in fine quality linens to ensure that guests experience a deep restorative sleep. A good-sized family bathroom featuring a bath and walk-in shower is also located on this floor.

Outside, the large lawn and gravel garden is fully enclosed making it the ideal place for supervised children and dogs to play safely. Offering outdoor seating, the aforementioned raised patio is fully undercover. With an outdoor heater, guests can nestle in to dine al fresco as they watch a film on the outdoor cinema screen. Parking for two cars is available to the front of the property.

Heacham has many footpaths to discover, and a great beach side promenade that stretches all the way to the iconic carrstone cliffs of neighbouring Hunstanton. Look out for popular Bordoli's pizza truck that visits the village on a Wednesday evening, and be sure to sample the gooiest of treats from Breakfast and Brownies on the high street. There is also a great antiques shop and cafe to be found next to the Tesco Express. For a larger supermarket, Lidl is located on on the road to Snettisham, and there is a big Tescos in Hunstanton, which also has EV chargers in the car park and a fuel station. For a special culinary experience, head inland to the village of Docking to sample the delights of the Nest Farmhouse, run by a Michelin star award winning team, or head further along the coast from Heacham to Old Hunstanton to find Michelin restaurant, The Neptune.
