Sand Cottage lies close to rspb Snettsiham and the lovely coastline. You can head to Heacham and explore the sand dunes or a little further to Hunstanton where you will find a host of seaside attractions including a Sea Life Centre and seasonal boat trips out to see the seals. History buffs should make time to explore the Hanseatic Quarter of Old Kings Lynn and the Sandringham, Holkham and Houghton Estates. And, having worked up an appetite you will find lots of great places to eat too, many of which serve local produce. And with lots of year-round dog friendly beach walks and cafes and inns that allow you to bring your fur-friends along too, this is a great location for dog lovers. It would appear that comments made by previous visitors have been ignored and issues are still evident in the property which is disappointing. We arrived after a 6 hour journey to spend 5 minutes looking for the key box. Clearer instructions would have helped re its location through gate to back garden. Also astonished to find no toilet roll in the bathroom on arrival. Plus the garden overgrown at least a foot high in places. That made it very difficult to pick up our dog’s toilets though we did do a diligent search daily. This property is advertised as high tech but maybe they should spend time on the basics and actually offering what is advertised. There was no welcome pack, one log for wood burner though not needed. The bathroom door handle was broken, shower leaked from the top, water spread all over the floor and as for the water tap in the bathroom it’s ridiculous. The details on the website are out of date and the pictures do not reflect furnishings inside and outside. I was fed up of my young dog finding rubbish in the garden such as empty packaging. It says gas central heating but it’s electric radiators. There is only one bin not 3 and everything we put in it. So not sure about the recycling bit even though we used different bin bags. We put the bin out and it was not emptied. The location of the cottage good for visiting National Trust properties and beaches. Very quiet location.

Lovely location and cottage. Toilet door handle was broken on the inside (i got stuck in there) shower leaked badly from the top and there was no toilet roll on arrival. The grass in the back garden was very long so hard to clean up dog poo. Summer house had Bird poo on the lights. The front garden could do with some attention too. The baking trays were rusty and blistering. If these things were dealt with it would of been perfect.

Nice cottage, well stocked with electrical equipment etc. very quiet a bit further from beach than we expected but a nice place to stay
