Exuding comfort and relaxation, Fox Cottage expertly blends rustic accents with sumptuous styling. Perfect for a restorative break or a romantic one too. The owner's great attention to detail and creative eye has worked its magic to make this period property not only visually stunning but also a wonderful cosy retreat. The cottage certainly wouldn't look out of place in an interior design magazine. There's still plenty of traditional features; pamment flooring, an inglenook fireplace, latched doors, beamed ceilings, a Norfolk winder staircase, and even the original bread oven is now styled feature lighting. The ground floor comprises of two magnificent rooms; a well-equipped country style kitchen/diner that showcases lovely Portuguese wall tiles and boasts everything that an enthusiastic cook could possibly need; and an inviting sitting room, rich in colour with velvet sofas, Smart television, and a wood burning stove to add warmth and ambient light to ramp up the cosy factor. Upstairs on the first floor, the generous landing leads to the two beautifully presented bedrooms (double and twin), both with iron bedsteads and funky bedside lamps. A smart bathroom featuring a bath with rainfall shower over, completes this floor. When the sun is in the sky and the days are warm, enjoy the fully enclosed, private, shingled garden. Bordered by willow fencing and a part flinted wall adorned with a star, the garden features pretty lighting and an arched mirror window that reflects light back making this the perfect spot for sharing a bottle of local wine or dining al fresco when the mood takes you. And, lastly, perhaps the best news of all, three dogs are welcome to share this fabulous hideaway.
Fox Cottage is in a envious location. Located a short stroll from the lovely village green with stream, ducks and playing fields. Just ten minutes away by car, the award-winning Duck Inn in Stanhoe is not to be missed, and nine minutes in the other direction, Sculthorpe Mill serves excellent food and local craft beers and is near to Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserve. If you're feeling energetic then why not leave the car behind and cycle or walk to enjoy the rural views. The market town of Fakenham has a chocolate factory, glass blowing attraction, fabulous Thursday markets and Fakenham Racecourse, one of the finest rural national hunt courses. A couple of miles down the road, the award-winning Pensthorpe Natural Park is home to Europe's finest collection of endangered and exotic water birds.
