Situated on the Hoveton Hall Estate in Ashmanhaugh, Blacksmith's Farmhouse is a imposing Grade II listed farmhouse that offers guests a stately venue from which to explore nearby Norwich and The Broads National Park. Surrounded by a myriad of habitats, guests are able to enjoy the gardens around the cottage, its lake and the nearby tennis court.
The farmhouse boasts six bedrooms, all elegantly furnished with quality white linens and offering great views across the estate through large Georgian sash windows. To cater to the needs of large groups, the property is served by three large bathrooms spread over the three floors, ensuring convenience and comfort for all guests. Additionally, there is a games room situated at the top of the house, featuring a full-sized pool table, darts board, and seating, providing endless entertainment for all the group members.
The estate surrounding the Blacksmith's Farmhouse offers a picturesque and diverse landscape, with a mixture of habitats including a tranquil lake, lush gardens, expansive pasture, old woodlands, and vibrant wildflower meadows. Additionally, guests can enjoy recreational activities such as tennis on the estate's tennis court. With plenty of off-road parking available, you can easily explore the various outdoor offerings. For a delightful change of scenery, guests also have seasonal access to the nearby Hoveton Hall Gardens, providing an opportunity to explore even more natural beauty during their stay.

Within the grounds, there is a 4ft deep lake, which is not fenced off.
Hoveton Hall Gardens are open seasonally, from Good Friday to the end of September (Sunday to Fridays).
The outdoor grass tennis court is available to use between 1st May and the 30th of September. The rest of the year it is unavailable due to grass maintenance.
The owners of this property have kindly requested no single-sex groups.

Our very own stately home for the week! We have all delighted with this sumptuous space, beautiful artefacts, especially the paintings and the picturesque surroundings. Top marks again for the Welcome pack, tennis court and games room. Children's verdict: We liked everything, can we come back next year?

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and were very taken with the Welcome Pack and all that you provided in the choice of the many bedrooms. The tennis court was used well, and the games room too. You recommended The King's Head in Coltishall and we had an excellent meal there - and also the beach at Sea Palling which we enjoyed even in the rain! We love the peace of the surroundings yet with all that you offer at Blacksmith's Farmhouse it's ideal for guests of all ages.
