Set in unspoilt woodland, Robin’s Retreat has been carefully furnished to mix comfort with style and is the perfect place to relax and unwind in, whether you choose to do so in the comfort of the cosy living room or amongst the trees in the decked outdoor area. It is a much-loved family bolthole where many wonderful memories have been made, and the owners are very excited for you to make your own there too.
Kelling Heath is probably unlike any holiday park you have every visited, much care has been taken to ensure the placement of the lodges provides privacy and tranquillity, making the most of the 300-acre site, which has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It does offer many of the draws of other sites such as a heated indoor swimming pool, a seasonal outdoor pool, a sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi hot tub and health and fitness centre (three-day passes are available at very reasonable rates) along with an on-site shop, which boasts lots of local produce, a bar and pizza restaurant. But things are done very differently here, there is a much-needed change of pace at Kelling Heath, which is probably why it is so loved by everyone who has been lucky enough to discover it.
Activities take the form of children’s bug hunts, cycle hire and passing visits to a small sanctuary for red squirrels. There is often live music in the village square, which also plays host to lots of great events throughout the year such as vintage and beer festivals. The site is also a designated Dark Sky area and you just won’t believe the blanket of stars that will unfold above you as night falls. There is so much to do here that many guests never leave the grounds but for those who do the treasures of the Norfolk coastline await, with the beach just two miles away. You will also find yourself within easy reach of the Norfolk Broads and the fine city of Norwich.
There are steps or steep slopes in the garden.
Please note that charcoal BBQs aren't permitted on site. This is to help keep you, the caravan, and the woodland areas safe. Gas BBQs are welcome, provided they're supervised at all times and used in an open area, well away from the caravan.

Robins retreat is in the perfect location, idyllic and quiet yet only a stones throw from the village center. We were staying mon- fri with a 5yr old and a newborn and the location was absolutely ideal for little legs. We all slept well, the bedding was some of the best we've come across that im considered buying the same for home.Robins retreat was clean and had everything you could need. Yes, the wifi signal was hit and miss but that was part of the charm for us and getting away from it all. A great selection of DVDS are provided as I believe the TV relied on signal? There was games for the little ones too. We did not lack hot water at all during our stay and the heating was very efficient and heated the home quickly unlike some other static homes we have stayed in. Bath sheets were provided which saved us bulking out our luggage.Having a full size fridge freezer was handy and there's a launderette on site should you need it which took card payment. Leisure passes can be purchaised from the leisure facility onsite. There are so many wonderful play parks to discover along with forest walks. The welcome pack privided was helpful and much appreciated. We had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to return and will be recommend to others.

This is an excellent location and we enjoyed our break but there were a few snags and grumbles. The swimming pool is NOT free and really expensive as is the gym, don't be fooled by the photos.A quarter of a toilet roll is not enough to leave.A bottle of apple juice and crisps is NOT a welcome pack. There is no reason why you should sign in at reception. There is only an internet television with no terrestrial or satellite connection. As the WiFi is very weak and constantly breaking it is impossible to watch any program, in particular any live programs. The bed in the second bedroom is too small for any but pre teenage children. Please note we would return again if we wanted to visit the area, but it would be so easy to change the review from good to excellent. It is in the perfect position for the facilities of the park and the railway halt for the steam train.
