The Old Butler's House is a spacious, characterful cottage in a peaceful location, ideal for families, groups, and dog owners. Guests consistently praise its historic charm, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and beautiful views of the marshes and sea. The property is clean, warm, and offers a relaxing atmosphere, with thoughtful touches such as welcome refreshments. Its proximity to local amenities and scenic walks is highly valued. Minor issues mentioned include occasional dog hairs, a tricky TV, and some kitchen equipment suggestions, but these do not detract from the overwhelmingly positive experience.
The majority of guests found the property spotlessly clean and well maintained, with only one mention of dog hairs on the lounge carpet. Overall, cleanliness is a strong point.
The location is frequently described as peaceful, idyllic, and perfect for walks, with lovely views and close proximity to village amenities and the coast. Guests appreciate the quiet setting and easy access to local attractions.
Guests highlight the spaciousness, comfortable beds, warmth, and calming atmosphere. There are minor comments about a soft mattress and pillows, but comfort is widely praised.
The house is well equipped, with a good kitchen, log fire, and ample parking. Some guests noted the absence of a washing machine, a small toaster, and minor kitchenware suggestions, as well as a complicated TV, but overall facilities are highly rated.
Many guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, and logs for the fire. Please note that these welcome gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Very spacious and comfortable house in a lovely quiet, leafy location. Perfect for a family get-together with plenty of room for everyone. We appreciated the enclosed garden so that the dog couldn't get out, but we had to tie the gate up to make sure it didn't swing open. The house itself was great, clean and well-equipped, though a larger pasta pan and a larger casserole dish would have been helpful, given there were six of us. These are minor issues - we loved the place and would definitely recommend.

Large roomy house, garden, well equipped, all usual equipment, offices, comfortable bed, front room, log fire if want it, views down stairs not great, but upstairs you can see the sea, wind mill, and marshes, only down side was the TV couldn't really get it to work, could only get pay to view, nice place to stay, highly recommended,

Another wonderful week at Old Butlers Cottage was so peaceful and cosy warm in the evenings Have noticed a big increase in amount to pay in the future so for us may stop us going there although if bigger parties will be fine shame as we have really enjoyed our stay there
