This was probably one of the most comfortable self-catering properties we have ever stayed in. The bed offered the best night's sleep away from home. (We sneaked a peek at the make so we could look for one for home!) A wet and cold break turned into a reason to sit in front of the fire and relax. The table with anglepoise lamp was a really great touch for completing a jigsaw! Plentiful logs for the fire and superb heating meant we were warm throughout. The bathrooms are amazingly well done too. Kitchen had 'china' crockery - perfect for a cup of tea rather than the sort you usually find! Spotlessly clean all through. Builders working on other cottages nearby were a cheerful crew and didn't affect us and once they are finished this will be a superb location in every aspect. We saw deer and hares aplenty and having the whole estate to wander through was lovely. A return in the warmer months is planned. Thank you to the owners for ensuring they'd thought of everything you could need. One little, tiny thing.... the kitchen chairs were so noisy on the floor! Some rubber ferules would sort this and add to the perfection!
