The open-plan kitchen and dining area has seating for four, and makes for a wonderful spot to enjoy a lovely home-cooked meal or to plan the day’s events. The kitchen itself is amply-equipped with everything you could need for a weekend in the countryside. With all the rooms on the ground floor, you have easy access to two bedrooms: one double and one twin, offering stylish and modern furnishings to store your personal items. The family bathroom boasts an elegant bath and walk-in shower, so you can decide how best to prepare for your day. A 10 minute drive and you reach Barnard Castle with its Grade 1 Castle, the majestic Bowes Museum as well as a golf course, sports centre, tea shops and pubs. Darlington, 10 miles, boasts a recently renovated theatre, a new entertainment cinema complex and the railway museum Head of Steam. Picturesque Richmond, 12 miles, with its Norman Castle standing overlooking the River Swale is the gateway to The North Yorkshire Dales.
