This historic grade two star listed castle is part of English Heritage. This unique ground floor apartment is located within the grounds of
Stanhope Castle in the market town of Stanhope. Across the road from the apartment is the local high street with shops, pubs, chemist and other amenities.Opposite the Castle is the Durham Dales visitor centre where leaflets can be obtained for days out. The open-plan living area has been tastefully styled with a charming lounge and a characterful dining area, set-up for six people. This property has three bedrooms with the master having its own en-suite. The large family bathroom features a bath with an overhead shower. This property boasts its own private hot tub area, seating area and childrens play area with extensive lawn which is private to Knights Corner guests. A fantastic getaway however you choose to spend your holiday.
Stanhope is an ancient market town in the beautiful Wear Valley. The town is home to the Durham Dales Centre, offering tourist information, a coffee shop, local arts and crafts. In addition to this there is a selection of pubs, specialist food stores, art gallery, outdoor swimming pool and pleasant riverside walks.

I and the lack of lighting outside at night. I there were lights but they did not work. Apart from that inside was comfortable clean and relaxing. The village was easily accessible had everything you needed. with plesent walks close to several interesting places

And also there is limited shelving in the oven Overall though fantastic stay, looking forward to our next sykes holiday in October

Accommodation was fabulous- more than enough space for us all with everything we needed. The outdoor space is huge (pictures dont do it justice!) and the hot tub was brill. Loved the dressing gowns so we werenât cold when we got out. Stanhope itself is lovely as are the surrounding areas- had brill pizza at a pub in frosterley and a lovely Italian in Wolsingham. Also visited beamish and Durham - both a simple drive. All in all a brilliant family holiday!
