Very dog friendly cottage about 5 miles from Barnard Castle. Garden very secure for our wee dog. Cottage had everything you could possibly need. Small welcome basket. Separate kitchen. Very comfortable seating in living room. Throws available for dog although we took our own with us. Underfloor heating. Bed very comfortable. Good shower although personally we prefer a shower where you can take it down to clean those awkward bits but it wouldn't put us off coming back. Good towels though again we prefer bath sheets. We didn't use the hot tub but thought extra towels would have been provided for it. Private parking space at front - we found reversing in easier so that we could see what was going past. We would most definitely return to Little Glencrest in the future. No shops nearby so best to make sure you have some food with you. We drove into Barnard Castle and got some bits from the Lidl store. Plenty of independent wee shops there as well and the most fabulous chocolate shop which is well worth a visit.Unfortunately the weather was pretty awful when we were there but it didn't stop us from going out and about and we visited Barnard Castle, Richmond, Hexham and Northallerton. We didn't go to Raby Castle as it was too wet as having dog with us as well restricted us a bit especially as she needs the help of her dog buggy from time to time.

Lovely cottage. On arrival there was a lovely card welcoming us to Little Glencrest, along with a thoughtful welcome pack. The cottage was cosy and the garden was certainly very dog friendly and safe.
