Just back from 4 nights at Bolton Farm. Great stay in a perfect location. The cottage had everything we needed and only 3 miles from Durham city centre. The log-burner and hot tub came in very handy for November! Easy communication with Andrew the host, and would definitely stay again.

We had a really great stay at The Stables at Bolton Farm with our children. The property was spacious, bright, and airy, with lots of lovely thoughtful touches that we really appreciated the blankets, coffee maker, tea, coffee, and toiletries, for example (I could go on!), all made it feel very homely. The hot tub was the biggest selling point for us and is set in a beautiful outdoor space. However, although it was set to 38°C, within minutes of us getting in it dropped to 37°C and then to 36°C within about half an hour. It was still lovely, but felt a bit cool, posibly because of the time of year. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend. Its peaceful and comfortable and great value.
