As you approach Grey Gables up the sweeping gravel driveway, take a moment to appreciate the grandeur of this impressive building. Inside, the ground floor welcomes you with a large living room featuring sumptuous sofas, a cosy and intimate room for relaxation. The spacious kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to create family feasts, complete with a dining table for casual meals and a separate dining room for larger group events. A games room with a pool table provides entertainment for all ages, while a utility room and boot room add practicality to your stay. Upstairs on the first floor, three beautifully furnished bedrooms await, three doubles and a super king bedroom, with its own walk-in wardrobe, each exquisitely decorated with chandeliers hanging from the vast high ceilings. The expansive bathroom offers both a freestanding bath and a large walk-in shower, as well as his and her sinks for added convenience. Ascending to the second floor, you’ll discover a surprise, a spacious hallway transformed into an incredible spaceship-themed games room, complete with a gaming console and a sofa. This is a top floor is sure to inspire the imagination of younger family members. There are also two double bedrooms with themed murals, one with a Marvel superhero theme and the other featuring a Formula 1 racing car, and a single bedroom with a feminine, pink theme. Beautiful house could not fault it. There was even a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates waiting for us with a lovely card. We did have a problem with the heating and water, messaged the owner and she came out and sorted it. Would definitely stay again.

On arriving a bottle of wine and chocolates were waiting for us .What an amazing house Grey Gables is . From walking into the kitchen to looking round the full house each room made me say WOW. It made you feel like the lord and lady of the manor . Chandeliers in every room even the bathroom . The dining room set out beautifully for evening meals . The living room ,comfy leather seating and the pool table was used by us all . Towels and flip flops for everyone who used the hot tub which was set just at the right temperature . Kitchen was stocked with tea,coffee,sugar and milk sachets in the fridge . There are 2 large wine and drink drawers ,never seen anything like them before. Over all an absolutely fantastic 3 day stay was had by all 7 of us .

Nice venue but issues. We had issues with the heating and hot water while there. Over the 4 days we only had heating and hot water for half a day, which was not great as it was cold in the mornings and evenings. Only a few members of the group managed a single hot shower the whole trip, which is made worse as it meant the hot tub did not get much use as people would want to shower afterwards. The host did send someone over to try and fix the issue which it did for half a day. But i do feel that since it's not a combi boiler we would still have had issues with the hot water running out if everyone wanted showers in the morning. The host did apologise at the time. But when leaving i sent a message saying how it effected the trip i recieved no reply or attempt to rectify my disappointment. The house itself is nice and a good size for a large party , amenities are good, the children enjoyed the kids space. It is lacking a bit on basic kitchen equipment which is strange as it has things i would not expect like a airfryer. Also into the second day we had to go get toilet roll and washing up liquid as there was a very small amount for large group staying, also there were no scrubbers to clean dishes with only jcloths.
