The pretty historic village of Blanchland (2 miles) has a renowned friendly inn dating back to the 12th century and serving daily meals and quality ales, as well as a lovely tearoom, a handy post office shop, and a quirky craft and gift shop with an art gallery to enjoy. The picture postcard village of Corbridge and the bustling market town of Hexham are both within 13 miles. Explore Derwent Reservoir (4 miles) for water sports and rainbow trout fishing, or visit Beamish and Bowes Museums (24 miles), the living museum of the north. Heading up the stairs, you will find a double bedroom with ample storage space and stunning views over the surrounding countryside. There s a cosy second double bedroom with lovely views. Completing the accommodation is the shower room with a large shower cubical and WC. Outside in the enclosed large gardens spanning 4.5 acres, there is a quirky stone bench at the front of the property, a perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee whilst admiring the beautiful views. There is also a picnic table and charcoal BBQ for al fresco dining or lazy evenings stargazing surrounded by stunning scenery.
