1 Braeside is a well-received cottage, praised for its cosiness, warmth, and beautiful location. Guests appreciate the homely touches, cleanliness, and the cottage's suitability for walking and relaxation. The spaciousness and responsiveness of the owner add to the positive experience, although some guests mention parking challenges and occasional noise.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and tidy, with only a few isolated comments about cleanliness issues such as an unclean fridge and a musty smell. Overall, the property is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
The cottage is celebrated for its beautiful and peaceful location, ideal for walking and enjoying the countryside. However, some guests found the proximity to a main road and the remoteness to be less desirable. The location is generally seen as a positive aspect.
Guests report the cottage as cosy and warm, with comfortable beds and a welcoming atmosphere. Some guests, however, found the main bed uncomfortable and the sofas less so, which slightly affects the comfort score.
The property is equipped with necessary amenities and guests appreciate the extra touches like board games and a record player. Criticisms include challenges with parking for larger vehicles and some desire for additional facilities like a dishwasher. Maintenance of some areas could be improved.
The owner's thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of items such as dog towels, a welcome tray with wine, and responsiveness to guest inquiries. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.

Villagers were friendly and the area was lovely. It would be helpful to have some written/visual instructions for the washing machine, Hive heating & TV remotes as we don't have this type of set up and took a while to figure them out. Would be happy to stay again.

Although we knew that it was a dog friendly cottage, we were a little disappointed that we were able to smell dog odour in both the porch and lounge.. It was very convenient for visiting our daughter and family who live in the next village. I am sure we will be back.

Beautiful location, charming property. The owners are welcoming and helpful. There are lots of brilliant walking routes in the local area, dark skies for stargazing, and a gorgeous fire. A lovely week of tranquility and canât wait to come back again next year.
