This was a family holiday for us our married children, their partners, children and dogs. For us this was an outstanding place to stay! It is spacious, comfortable, well decorated and appointed with so many additional gadgets to enjoy. The garden is lovely with the hot tub, BBQ and playhouse for the little ones. It was also very secure, so our grandchildren and 4 dogs were totally safe.Secure car parking too.We enjoyed the Pizza oven, the slushy machine and ice cream maker! And the PlayStation! It’s really hard to list all the positives, there are so many.Lesley and family were perfect hosts and so very helpful. We visited Durham, Whitby, Robin-hood Bay and South Sheilds, all worth going to.It rates as the best holiday home we have ever visited, certainly a place to return to.

We had a great holiday in County Durham and the Manse contributed to it. We had some busy days in the sun so it was great when we returned to the Manse that we could relax there in a variety of ways - hot tub, sauna or find a quiet place indoors. The Manse is located in an old terraced street in an old coal mining area but it is located close to the A177 allowing you to get to most places quickly on fast roads. For those who like cycling the Kelloe way was an enjoyable one hour loop via Cassop
