Not as expected. Tired furniture and fittings. Needs a deep clean, including cutlerey, crockery and kitchen utensils.

Lovely barn conversion, well equipped (except microwave was missing) and a super comfortable bed. Perfect for visiting Beamish museum - a couple of days needed to see it all, and plenty of walks around.

Chairs were not so good for my age group (nearly 70), but other than that, I thought the cottage and location (on a working farm), were excellent. Especially good location if you want to visit Beamish.
