Bedroom 2: With twin beds, Smart TV and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet.. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. . Enclosed courtyard with garden furniture. On road parking. No smoking.. Radstone Cottage has received a full makeover in 2020 and offers luxurious self catering holiday accommodation within the historic market town of Alnwick. There is a cosy wood burner in the living room, ensuring a warm welcome whatever the season. The kitchen/dining room at the rear of the ground floor is stunning and with the addition of a roof lantern the ambience is bright and airy. This leads to a utility area with a convenient separate toilet. There is a small and fully enclosed patio courtyard at the rear of the property; a peaceful spot to relax. Both double bedrooms are on the first floor; each having the convenience of en-suite shower facilities ensuring Radstone Cottage is a superb retreat for couples, families and friends alike.
Radstone Cottage is within easy walking distance of the centre of Alnwick where there is a wide array of local amenities including a cinema/playhouse, restaurants, independent shops and a variety of pubs. Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland and one of the film locations for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts, is a popular visitor attraction, also within walking distance. The Alnwick Garden is also well worth a visit with its spectacular interpretation of a formal garden, including the Grand Cascade waterfall, poison garden and largest tree house in Europe where guests can dine in the restaurant.
Heading 4 miles east is the picture perfect coastal village of Alnmouth where there is a gorgeous golden sandy beach. A short drive west brings you to the small town of Rothbury, found nestled at the foot of the Simonside Hills and where the River Coquet ebbs and flows. Radstone Cottage makes an extremely comfortable base from which to explore the beautiful 20-mile stretch of Northumberland Heritage coastline, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the east, and the wild and lonely expanses of the heather-capped Cheviot Hills to the west. Beach 5 miles. Shop, pub and restuarant 400 yards.
