When mealtimes call, a spacious kitchen houses all of the home-from-home amenities needed to rustle up a heart-warming meal, which can be enjoyed in the dining room, an opulent space with white furniture and double glass doors opening into a conservatory snug. Four bedrooms encourage you to cosy up for the night after taking a refreshing shower or a soak amongst the bubbles, including a ground-floor double, a king-size with a handy en-suite, a twin and a bunk room, each with their own character and storage. Outside there is a wonderful garden space ideal for alfresco dining in the warmer months. Bamburgh is a fantastic seaside town with so much on offer for guests, so why not head out for a family meal at one of the tasty eateries available or enjoy local produce at the deli and food emporium? If you love history and sightseeing, then the magnificent Bamburgh Castle and its breath-taking views will be a must, or there is the option of Bamburgh’s stunning sandy beach and coastal walks. A little further from the town you will find more scenic walks and quaint villages at Seahouses and Beadnell or visit the fascinating Holy Island where there are many historical sites, including Lindisfarne Priory and Lindisfarne Castle. Make a holiday to remember with a stay at Armstrong Cottage No22.

The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.

We couldn't get the dishwasher to work-a tap kept flashing up on it, might've been just us! Everything else was brilliant, many thanks :)

Lovely great cottage just need to revise the listing slightly as it no longer has open fire which was a shame as that was one of the reasons we chose it but apart from that brilliant week

The kitchen had everything we needed and the lounge was cosy, great for relaxing as a family. The welcome pack and dog treats were a lovely gesture.
