Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking.. This spacious, detached single-storey holiday property has a large garden overlooking open fields. It lies just a short walk from the heart of Bamburgh - with its imposing castle overlooking miles of sandy beaches - and makes a wonderful base from which to explore the Heritage coastline. The village boasts one of the most picturesque golf courses in Northumberland with views of Lindisfarne, the Farne Islands and the Cheviots. Nearby Seahouses, with its selection of shops and working harbour, offers boat trips (in season) to the Farne Islands - a wildlife sanctuary owned by the NT. The medieval market town of Alnwick is a short drive inland with its castle (featured in Harry Potter films), famous water gardens and one of the largest tree houses in the world. A little further away is the Northumberland National Park with many walks and attractive villages. Shops 0.25 miles. Property interior unsuitable for wheelchairs.

Friarystone is a perfect holiday home. It is clean, spacious and very well equipped with everything one could possibly need. The hosts, David and Carole, are very welcoming and handy in case there are problems.We couldn't fault it and would highly recommend Friarystone for a holiday.

Cottage as welcoming, comfortable and well presented as always, a home from home. Lots to do around and about and a wonderful break although Bamburgh has lost some of it's local charm over 20 years. Thanks again.
