Boasting a superb location close to the beach at Budle Bay in Northumberland, No2 Budle Bay Cottage is an attractive single-storey, stone-built cottage which is perfect for a family holiday. The interior is warm and welcoming with neutral décor, tasteful soft furnishings and beautiful features such as exposed beamed ceilings, picture windows, solid wood flooring and a traditional inglenook fireplace, which all add up to create a really inviting space. Guests can kick off their shoes, curl up on the comfy sofa in front of the woodburning stove and get into the relaxing, holiday vibe. There is an elegant dining area where you can sit down to enjoy long, leisurely meals prepared in the fully fitted kitchen.
Outside, there are ample, communal lawns where children and animals can run around and enjoy the sublime views towards the sea while the adults can chill out and breathe in the fresh Northumberland air. All that air will no doubt tire everyone out so guests will be delighted with the two well-presented bedrooms; a double and a twin. Both are rustic in style and offer a calming sanctuary to recharge your batteries. Other towns worth visiting in the region include Alnwick, Seahouses (just a few miles away) and you can even head to the border and visit the ever-popular town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Activities to look forward to in the area include golf, sailing (from Seahouses to the Farne Islands), hiking, cycle rides and horse-riding. The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.

We missed the rug in the lounge this time. The location is amazing. We never tire of visiting this place and hope to be able to continue to do so. So much to see. We visited Ford and Etal for the first time, loved it. Iâm allergic to the fabric conditioner used on the bedding which is the only negative point.

1 bottle of water supplied because it was advised not to use tap water wasn't really enough for a weeks' stay. Small things like tiny bit of washing up liquid and 1 toilet roll. Location was stunning and absolutely loved it.
