Foundry House is a charming double-fronted cottage situated in Tweedmouth, within the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. This heart-warming luxury retreat is the perfect choice for a family seeking a traditional getaway to an area steeped with natural beauty and a vast array of attractions. Be greeted by the character as you step through the door and benefit from two separate sitting rooms, which enjoy a selection of traditional and contemporary furniture and decor, to relax and unwind, one housing an open fire whilst the other has its own multi fuel stove. You can choose to enjoy a sociable evening in one of the sitting rooms or use the other as a quiet space for catching up on some late night reading. Walk through the exposed stone archway to the rear of the cottage which has an open-plan kitchen/diner, complete with range cooker and all the necessary appliances for cooking delicious meals. The ground floor is also home to a double bedroom with four poster bed and feature stone wall. It is serviced by a ground floor shower room. The character and charm continues on the first-floor with the master bedroom and en-suite, a further bedroom with twin beds which alternatively zip to form a super-king-size bed, together with the family bathroom. All rooms are beautifully presented to the highest standards. The luxury continues on the second floor with the stunningly beamed ceiling master suite which boasts a king-size bed, seating area with two leather arm chairs, feature en-suite and sauna. The master suite has beautiful views of the harbour and Tweed estuary. To the rear of the property is a lawned garden with patio and decking area, perfect for sitting out in the evening sun and dining alfresco, or take a dip in the hot tub for that extra spot of luxury during your trip. Berwick-upon-Tweed has a range of popular sites and attractions to suit all ages and tastes, just a stone's throw away from the property are a selection of traditional eateries for sampling some local delicacies, or choose to pick up some ingredients from the supermarket for a home-cooked meal. This town is full of history and heritage, most of which can be found at the ruined Berwick Castle which overlooks the North Sea and Berwick Museum and Art Gallery. You are within short walking distance of the local beach where you can spend the afternoon sunbathing on the golden sands or getting involved with a variety of watersporting opportunities. Foundry House is 200 years old and steeped in local history having been a public house for 100 years, it is the perfect base for sightseers interested in the town's rich history.
