Free on-street permit parking on the doorstep, then over the threshold into the hallway and head straight to the first floor living room boasting a contemporary wood burner stove. After a good day out, come home, light the fire, relax and pour yourself a single malt to enjoy in front of it with Sky Glass to entertain you.

Head back to the ground floor to the modern kitchen where the designated chef of the holiday can whip up a hearty meal in this well-equipped modern kitchen while setting the table for a family dinner. There are three bedrooms on the the ground, first and second floor, all kingsize rooms and beautifully presented. Each bedroom has its own shower or bathroom, the ground floor boasts an en-suite, double shower, the first floor has an adjacent double shower, and the second floor bathroom features a luxurious roll top bath.

No. 2 Ness Street has been stylised from top to bottom with high-quality individual touches and materials throughout, making this house the perfect luxury coastal getaway. Discover one of the four fabulous nearby beaches, some offering water sports opportunities and there are breath-taking scenery and walks, you’ll be spoilt for choice. There are many independent coffee houses, wine bars and eateries on the doorstep and a micro pub within walking distance of the front door. Enjoy a relaxing game of golf, play tennis, swim or simply enrich yourself with the history of Berwick, tangled in many battles between Scotland and England for sovereignty over the years. There’s plenty to discover.

A short drive South and you will discover the many castles that flourish in this part of the country. The magnificent Bamburgh Castle, dominates its attractive small village, set high up above the beautiful, golden Bamburgh beach and equally magnificent Alnwick Castle (fans of Harry Potter will recognise Hogwarts scenes from here) to name but a couple. These two are lived in today, but you can also visit the beautiful ruins of Lindisfarne on Holy Island, Dunstanburgh and Warkworth.

Inland a trip to the Borders will be equally rewarding for its scenery and history. LNER runs a mainline route through Berwick train station, a 15 minute easy walk, you are an hour from Edinburgh or Newcastle and a comfortable four and a half from London.     This is our second time at Ness Street and didn’t disappoint! The property has everything you could ask for and more! Bedrooms are comfortable and clean and all en-suite, living room is spacious and has plenty of room for everyone. Lively little enclosed yard to sit in (I hope we didn’t annoy the neighbours 🥴)Location is near to town and the beach!We are already planning our next visit

    2 Ness Street is a beautiful, clean, comfortable house in a fantastic location, close to both the town and coastal walks.The house has everthing and more that you would need in any house. The folders containing house information/guidance and local infofrmation were of great value.We had 4 adults and a dog in our party and we had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay.We would highly recommend 2 Ness Street.

    Excellent all round house with added extra touches eg welcome pack.I think there could be a log store outside. We found we were cold a lot of the time although it was May. Once we used logs up we had no car to buy more but I think the cost of logs should be included in what we paid.
