Shepherdskirk nestles in the heart of the beautiful Northumbrian countryside and makes an idyllic restful retreat. Converted to an excellent standard, Shepherdskirk, which is named after the nearby hill, oozes style and character. The accommodation is immaculately presented throughout and conveniently all on ground floor level. The open plan living/dining/kitchen space boasts a welcoming wood burner as its focal point; lovely to gaze into and watch the flames dance to rest and refresh after a day exploring the stunning Kyloe Hills close by. Full length glass doors enhance its bright and airy ambience and lead to a private patio area; perfect for dining alfresco. The double bedroom is beautifully co-ordinated and the shower room is exceptionally spacious.
This location is truly a haven for peace and tranquillity yet just a couple of miles from Lowick village where local amenities are available. The tidal island of Lindisfarne is just a short drive from Shepherds Kirk. The causeway leading onto the island is swept by the North Sea but safe to cross twice daily.The cottage is near two well known climbing sites Kyloe Crags and Kyloe in the Wood. The friendly small town of Wooler sits at the foot of the Cheviot Hills only 10 miles away and offers many amenities. This is a popular destination for those who enjoy cycling, golf, horse riding and walking the challenging route of the St Cuthbert’s Way runs close by. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

The shower room is wheelchair accessible although the shower itself is not. It is a walk-in shower with an access step of less than 5 cms. A stool which can be provided for use in the shower.

We loved this cottage. We had everything we needed, and the instructions left by the owners were simple to understand, and everything worked perfectly. The cottage was cosy, comfortable and stylish, even better than it looked on the website. The location was quiet and peaceful. It was great sat out the garden and we appreciated the fact the owners took care of the surrounding land and kept it tidy, whilst also allowing wild flowers and plants to thrive. There was an abundance of butterflys
