A short drive west of The Gable is the friendly market town of Wooler, nestled at the foot of the Cheviot Hills. This is a popular destination for those who enjoy cycling and walking, as the challenging route of St Cuthbert’s Way runs close by. Chatton Trout Fishery invites amateur anglers to fish without a rod licence in its picturesque four-acre lake.
