This welcoming cottage is a wonderful place to relax and unwind, its quiet location set amongst the pretty Northumberland countryside is exceptionally tranquil. Nestled in the small village of Wark close to the River Tweed near Cornhill, it is the perfect base from which to explore Northumberland and the southern borders. With multiple golf course's located close by golf fans can head off to their first tee, while other members of your party explore the charming town of Coldstream, roam the Northumbrian countryside or head further afield to enjoy the sandy beaches and spectacular castles of the Northumberland coast. Close by the pretty village of Coldstream offers an array of local amenities, discover quaint shops, pubs and tea rooms, before taking a riverside stroll with a picnic or trying some trout fishing (day permit required).

Over the Scottish border, historic Kelso, Melrose and Jedburgh are all within easy reach. Families will love Heatherslaw Light Railway, the castles at Ford and Etal, Chain Bridge Honey Farm, and the Hirsel Estate, all within 10 miles of the cottage. The Cheviot Hills, Northumberland National Park and Pennine Way provide a haven for ramblers and wildlife alike. Venture to the stunning Northumberland coastline which offers seemingly never ending beaches and dramatic castle views, or set sail to the Farne Islands to see a range of wildlife. Back on land visit Alnwick Castle (of Harry Potter fame) and its world famous gardens or Berwick Upon Tweed for its history, culture, shopping and restaurants.

On entering this beautiful home, follow the hallway through to the bright kitchen/diner, the kitchen is perfectly equipped to cook up feasts and enjoy a family meal together around the table as you plan your next day's adventure. Next is a spacious lounge, with a Smart TV and wood burner for warm, cosy nights snuggled up on the comfortable sofa, or on a sunny day, open the French doors to the garden and enjoy your breakfast outside.Completing the downstairs is a separate WC off the hallway. Heading upstairs, you will find two spacious bright bedrooms, a super king size with an en suite bathroom, ample storage and skylight which fills the room with light throughout the day.
