The living /dining room, complete with a cosy wood burner, unlimited logs and Persian rugs on the floor, is a haven of comfort all year around, the room has doors onto a private south-facing terrace, where you can soak up the tranquil woodland and lake views whilst enjoying your morning cup of tea. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped, featuring modern appliances, light and airy with a large glass window wall and a dining area. A bathroom on this level adds some extra convenience, with bath and power shower over add to the luxury.
Upstairs, two beautifully appointed bedrooms with views over parkland, offer the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The kingsize bedroom has a Smart TV for lazy mornings in bed with en-suite shower room and a further twin room, both rooms have beamed ceilings. Longlands is far more than just a beautiful place to stay.
The large, detached games room (shared) is a standout feature, boasting a huge TV, football table, and air hockey, along with an activity space for basketball and badminton. Families will love the safe play areas on the Doxford Estate, including a games den. Step outside to find an outdoor playground with swings, a slide, a trampoline, and a large football field. Come rain or shine, the indoor sports court with soft play guarantees fun for younger guests. And of course, the stunning Doxford Lake is just a short stroll away, offering peace for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Stroll around to Doxford Hall for a relaxing Spa or evening meal leaving the car behind.

Just a short drive is Embleton Bay, a vast stretch of golden sand backed by dunes, and the famous Bamburgh Beach, overlooked by its iconic castle. A very cosy cottage in a peaceful location. Lovely soaps and a wonderful welcome basket with yummy goodies! Thank you for that. The only negative was the dark, east facing living room, which was fine in the early morning but very dark the rest of the day. Please replace the front door with glass to let the afternoon sun through. Stairs to bedrooms were a bit steep as well but manageable.It was great to walk about the hotel grounds every morning and have some drinks there in the evening. We also booked a spa day which was great too. Ten minutes from Beadnell beach which was the best one around and five minutes from Chathill train station, which meant that one could have a day trip further south or north.Thank you again for a lovely stay !
