Guests say

Hunter Cottage is praised for its excellent location, ideal for exploring and enjoying local walks, with a friendly village atmosphere. While some guests found the property spacious and comfortable with adequate amenities, others noted areas needing improvement, particularly in cleanliness and maintenance. The garden is appreciated for its space and the property's proximity to the town centre is seen as a plus.

Cleanliness is a significant concern among reviewers, with multiple mentions of unclean conditions, including leftover rubbish, unclean kitchenware, and a general lack of thorough cleaning. This suggests a need for better housekeeping standards.

The location is highly regarded, with guests appreciating the proximity to local attractions, walks, and the village. The convenience for exploring the area and the setting in a friendly village are consistent positives.

Comfort receives mixed reviews; some guests found the cottage comfortable and spacious, while others had issues with seating, bedding, and noise from the nearby road. The presence of a garden and the spaciousness of the property are positives.

Facilities and maintenance are areas of concern, with reports of outdated appliances, a need for updates in decor, and specific maintenance issues like leaks. However, some guests were satisfied with the amenities provided.

There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate the owner's consideration for guests' experiences.

Washing machine was a great addition and shower pressure was great. The only suggestion we would make would be to update the TV system so that BBC could be viewed, or put it clearly on the listing so people can make their own arrangements. Thanks for letting us stay in your property.

Convenient for the bus. Too many cushions!

Would recommend. Leak in bathroom is still there though and really needs fixing. Didn’t spoil stay though. Book with confidence.
