This was a fantastic cottage, the kids truly got to live their famous five summer, as all they wanted to do was play in the river and the find treasures. Bring wetsuits and water shoes. Kitchen, utility, logs for the fire, kids toys, kids crockery, even bath toys its a very well equipped home from home. Just be confident of your driving ability, steep hills, tight bends and a tricky drive to turn around in.

Black Bank House is a well equipped accommodation, with plenty of space, both inside and out. We had lovely weather and were able to take advantage of the outdoor space, which has relaxing countryside views in a beautiful cottage garden. As this is a farming area, there is plenty of wildlife around, including the resident chicken, some of who's eggs we enjoyed. We were provided with a generous welcome pack and found the owners to be approachable, helpful and friendly. Although their proximity to Black Bank House is close, we never found them imposing. We would go back and we would recommend.

This is a very well equipped cottage perfect for families. We could have left all our toys at home as there was ample toys and books to play with in the house. The stream at the bottom of the garden is perfect for splashing, dam building and you can walk down the gorge and swim. We had a fab week enjoying walks, seeing birds, eating outside and generally letting the kids run wild! Best holiday ever in the middle of nowhere our four year declared as we left!
