This historic monument is famously known as the birthplace of Bishop Ridley. The walks from the door take you in all directions and the nature and wildlife are amazing. The picturesque village of Bardon Mill is only a mile down the road where you'll find a cosy country pub serving delicious food. Haltwhistle is 15 mins drive famously known as The Centre of Britain, with many cosy cafes, pubs and restaurants, local shops and a large open air swimming pool and leisure centre. 15 to 20 mins drive brings you to the world famous Hadrian's Wall and all the great visitors centres including, Vindolanda, Housesteads, Chesters and lots more ancient Roman history sites. The Coast of Northumberland can be reached in less than an hour’s drive as well as the city of Newcastle and The Metro Centre, Europe's 2nd largest shopping centre with something for everyone.
