It's set in lovely countryside all around, and is clean and comfortable, with everything needed for a good holiday. Unfortunately the french door had a problem, and couldn't be used, however the owner came round immediately and fixed it temporarily. The only thing we thought was missing was a visitor's book.

Property smelt of dogs . Had to buy Fabreze. Double mattress too soft had bad backs . No extra bedding for cold nights , had to use the single duvets. Immediate surroundings looked like a tip ,with a great bucket of used booze bottles next to the cottage. Yard needs a good tidy . Someone entered the property when we were out , as there was s wet footprint left ! Not impressed by that . The patio doors were broken and we couldn’t get out except by the front door . The outer front door was sticking badly . Plenty grime around the windows and a cobweb on the overhead bed light . Needs a good deep clean and airing . Everything in there looked tired and drab which is why we left a day early . Love the area which we have visited many times , but not this dump.

The owners were pleasant and welcoming but unobtrusive and were helpful with any query. The cottage is situated on a small farm with horses and dogs - (not noisy!) and the location in wonderful countryside makes for a very peaceful, relaxing holiday. The cottage is well equipped and really has everything necessary for a stay. It is ideally situated for visits to the many places and features of local interest in Northumberland and beyond. In conclusion,I would definitely return for a holiday in the future.
