Guests say

Harsondale Bothy in Hexham is highly praised for its stunning views, tranquility, and cosy atmosphere. Guests appreciate the clean, well-decorated accommodation and the friendly farm dog. The location is ideal for nature immersion, with local walks and urban facilities within reach. Some guests found the staircase challenging and noted the lack of a welcome pack, but the overall experience is one of relaxation and enjoyment in a beautiful setting.

The property consistently receives compliments on its cleanliness, with guests describing it as 'exceptionally clean' and 'perfectly clean'. This indicates a high standard of hygiene maintained at the property.

The location is frequently lauded for its fabulous views and proximity to nature and urban facilities. However, one review mentioned misleading directions, slightly impacting the score.

Guests find the Bothy comfortable and cosy, with a 'really comfortable bed' and a 'cosy fireplace'. The staircase challenge for some guests and the need for a car to access the property slightly affect the comfort score.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a good kitchen and bathroom. However, suggestions for additional cooking utensils and a washing machine indicate room for improvement in this area.

While guests mention the helpfulness of the owners and the presence of a friendly farm dog, there is no specific mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the property, so a score cannot be given.

The Bothy is a wonderful little place! So warm and cosy in the cold of December- the log burner really works well. Cosy comfortable bed, great kitchen space and a little bathroom. A car is definitely necesary to get there , but once there you can walk out in the Northumberland scenery. Had a good time, and the hosts were really friendly and made my stay even better.

We absolutely loved our stay. The property is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Theres a cozy fireplace, a well-equipped kitchen with plenty of utensils, and a very comfortable loft bed. Everything is perfectly clean. The cottage sits on beautiful farmland, with horses and sheep grazing right outside, which made the stay even more special. The owners are incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive. Our only feedback is that communication from the property manager, Cottages, could be improved. Their mesages are generic and often confusing, and specific questions were never addresed. We obtained all relevant info for the property after contacting the owners on their personal numbers. Its also best to use Google Maps when driving to the property, as the location link provided by the property manager on the listing is inaccurate. Despite this, the owners themselves were absolutely lovely, and we would love to stay again in the future!
