Loved the Hayloft. Had everything you could need and very clean & comfortable. Although a short drive to any amenities I didn't mind that as it was very quiet & peaceful. I would definitely book it again and recommend it to anyone who likes a peaceful surrounding.

The cottage was exceptionally clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything you needed during your stay, The cottage is fairly remote with the nearest shops being Corbridge or Hexham which suited us as we love the peace and quiet. Our first time in Northumberland and the people were lovely. One tip is a lot of the areas we visited you needed a parking disc which can be obtained from supermarkets and shops for £1. We can’t wait to visit again.

We really enjoyed our week here, exploring various parts of Hadrian's Wall and managing to walk to Sycamore Gap from Steel Rigg car park with our 14 year old dog up and down over the crags. It was only after I found Sycamore Gap did I find a lower easier walk back to the car! Corbridge is lovely with nice walks along the River Tyne and Grants the bakers and patisserie, lovely cakes. Having a Waitrose at Hexham was a bonus, (only 16 mins away) but make sure you get a parking disc to park locally. There's a market in Hexham on a Saturday morning near the Abbey and a nice fish stall. The dark skies are amazing on a clear night and they seemed so close, a wonder to see.The Hayloft was well equipped with everything we could need. We did find it very cosy and warm and even had to turn the heating down but we are very mean with our heating so it was nice to enjoy the warmth. We'd definitely stay again, if coming to the area again.
