Set in the grounds of Westfield House, this converted former stable has been modernized in a light and airy Scandinavian style. The interior is lofty, with exposed beams and good quality oak furnishings. The property is well-equipped making it a real home-from-home. The pretty and spacious garden is a haven for pets. The seating areas capture the morning and evening sun.
Set on the edge of the Northumberland National Park, the location is ideal for visiting this unspoilt area of the beautiful county of Northumberland. Bellingham offers award winning cafés and pubs and a wide variety of local food and gift shops. Gorge and Hareshaw Waterfall, Heritage Centre, Tea on the Train, micro-brewery, walks along the river, gorge walk to the waterfall, golf and fishing, Bellingham offers something for everyone.
The spectacular scenery of Kielder Forest and Water Park (14 miles) offers adventure for walkers and cyclists and watersports. The area has International Dark Sky Gold status. The market town of Hexham with its abbey and old gaol is 15 miles away, as is the Roman town of Corbridge. Both have regular farmers’ markets and good independent shops. Northumberland offers a rich cultural history, with Hadrian’s Wall, castles and coastline and breathtaking National Trust properties. Newcastle’s city attractions are just over 34 miles away.

Fantastic stay at the Studio. Very warm welcome from Jane, very friendly host. Great riverside walks nearby and within 25 minutes of Kielder Forest. Visited Chesters Roman Fort, the local waterfall walk and the Tap Room :-)

Jane and Chris are fantastic hosts. You will not find a heartier welcome and the saddest farewell. If you want to getaway from the hustle and bustle of life, there is no better place. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend as a place to stay for a base to see the inner workings of a beautiful county. Northumberland is unspoiled with pathways leading to havens of solitude and sandy sanctuaries. The local food is amazing, too. Try the world famous “Kipper in a Bap, with honey.”

This is our 3rd visit, we love it here. Jane is so welcoming and leaves so many goodies for you like bread, milk, butter, cheese, lovely cakes, milk. Best welcome pack. Our dog is left treats. The huge garden is perfect to relax. It's all the extras, so many to mention. The lovely village is so close to many gorgeous areas to visit. We'll be back
