Kielder Observatory is only a few minutes’ drive, but the thoughtful owners have even provided you with your own telescope to stargaze at your leisure.

Lovely cottage, spacious, comfortable furniture, great beds, lots of hot water, fabulous roll top bath and large shower. It is in a little village on the outskirts of Kielder. The village has a great cafe which also stocks essentials. It was quiet and peaceful with great views of the night sky and stars and the telescope was really useful. We visited Kielder Observatory which was a fascinating experience. We hired bikes in Kielder and did the 26 mile circuit. All in all a great weekend.

Lovely accommodation in a quiet village, with off road parking. Comfortable and generally well equipped, with a good shower, plenty of hot water and a bonus bath! Bed ok, but mattress could be better. Great bike, dog and boot wash outside, but have to go through the house to get to it, unless we missed something. Good size hallway with clothes rack ideal for drying wet coats etc. Nice friendly village pub (watch for limited opening in off season) and little tearoom where you can get emergency supplies! Great off road walking directly from the property, or short drive away. We would definitely recommend it.
