Kielder Cottage Spa offers a tranquil and beautifully maintained retreat in a stunning, remote location ideal for walking, stargazing, and relaxation. Guests consistently praise the cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped nature of the cottage, with the hot tub being a particular highlight. The owner is frequently mentioned as friendly and helpful. While amenities nearby are limited, advance planning for groceries is recommended. Minor issues such as fridge size and occasional late-night passers-by are noted, but overall, the experience is overwhelmingly positive and many guests express a desire to return.
Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and well cared for. No significant negative comments regarding cleanliness were found.
The location is repeatedly described as peaceful, remote, and surrounded by beautiful scenery, perfect for walking and exploring. The only minor drawback is the lack of nearby shops, but this is well communicated and manageable with planning.
Guests find the cottage cosy, warm, and comfortable, with effective heating and comfortable beds. A minor note was made about a chilly en suite shower room, but overall comfort is highly rated.
The cottage is well equipped with kitchen essentials, a hot tub, utility room, and bike storage. Some guests mention the fridge could be larger and towels are not provided, but these are minor compared to the overall positive feedback.
The owner is frequently praised for being helpful and communicative, and the cottage provides detailed local information. While no gifts are mentioned, guests appreciate the attention to detail and support, though gifts cannot be guaranteed.

This cottage is a lovely home from home. The downstairs has the three bedrooms and two bathrooms and the upstairs is an open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge. There's space for two cars by the hot tub, which was lovely and hot, and the cottage is set on the edge of the Kielder forest with all the paths throughout that you can use. We were greeted by the owner, Jackie, upon arrival and she made sure we had everything we needed. I would recommend you shop along the way or get a shop delivered as very little was open in Kielder or the nearby villages but we knew that in advance so there were no issues. The sun shone, the views were spectacular and the cottage was exactly as described - what more could you want!!

Great time at Kielder Cottage!

Had a lovely time at Kielder Cottage. Very peaceful and lots of opportunities for walking in the local area and exploring the Art Trail around Kielder Water. The Hot tub is a real bonus at the end of a days walking. NB there is no Tumble dryer (despite it saying so in the details), however there is one available for a small fee in the laundry cabin opposite the property, (which is part of the adjoining holiday park). The utility room acts as a good drying room, as the Boiler is housed in there. The only local facilities are a pub and a village petrol station with a general store attached to it. You would need to shop for groceries on the way or as suggested by the owner Jackie, book an online food delivery.
