Harry Potter fans can visit the famous Alnwick Castle just 12 miles away. Alternatively, stroll along the beautiful marina in the friendly port of Amble (10 miles), or head into the town of Rothbury (10.5 miles) to visit historic Cragside House and Gardens – the first home in Britain to be lit by hydroelectricity.
