About this property

Nestled in the heart of the quaint, coastal town of Amble, Northumberland, is this delightful holiday home, 4 Percy Street. Perfect for families or small groups, this property enjoys terrific positioning to both the Northumberland Coast AONB and Northumberland National Park, is well-positioned to nearby attractions and amenities and welcomes four guests and two well-behaved dogs. Inside, be sure to make the most of the well-equipped kitchen, where you can prepare tasty home-cooked meals to be enjoyed in the well-presented dining room or grab a seat in the sitting room where you can savour your culinary creations whilst watching an episode or two of your favourite TV show on the Smart TV. As the evening draws to a close, retire to one of the two king bedrooms, where plush beds await to transport you to a refreshing nights embrace. If you fancy exploring your local surroundings, stop for a pint at Angie's Tavern or the Cock & Bull, before dining at Jasper's Bistro for a delicious seafood dinner. The village of Warkworth is situated nearby, home to the historic landmarks of Warkworth Castle and Warkworth Hermitage, as well as the idyllic Warkworth Beach. Alnmouth is accessible by car, where golf lovers can practice their short game at the Alnmouth Golf Club, or if something more active is required, the England Coast Path, from Amble to Bamburgh, will provide a day's worth of fun and fitness. Slightly further afield, the historic market town of Morpeth awaits, with attractions such as Morpeth Chantry and Carlisle Park making the short car journey worthwhile. A home-away-from-home, enjoy a memorable stay at 4 Percy Street.

Amble, a bustling small harbour at the River Coquet's mouth, is a great starting point for exploring Northumberland. In addition to sandy beaches, a marina, a harbour, and coastal hikes to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and the national park at Druridge Bay, Amble, once a centre for boatbuilding, offers all of these amenities. A variety of fish, prawns, crabs, and lobsters are landed by the large fishing boats that are moored around the harbour wall. On the side of the harbour is a fish centre that sells local fish and is available to the public. It is currently mostly a shellfish hatchery to restock levels of lobster and other shellfish. Coquet Island, an rspb reserve with a sizable population of terns, puffins, and eider ducks, is located one mile south of Amble. Boat tours around the island can be booked. A short drive will take you to attractive Alnwick with its castle and award-winning gardens, charming Warkworth with its castle, and the National Trust's Wallington Hall and Cragside, in addition to a number of excellent beaches and charming coastal villages.
