Head into the Simonside Hills (5 miles) for breath-taking moorland scenery, wonderful wildlife, and views over the town. The edge of Northumberland’s National Park is only 6 miles away offering a wide range of walking and cycling trails. Alnwick Castle and the famous Alnwick Gardens are less than 12 miles and the stunning sandy beach in Alnmouth is 16 miles.
Step inside this welcoming cottage and into a small hallway where you can hang up your coats and store your walking boots. Head through the glazed door and you are greeted by an attractively furnished open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Relax on the comfortable sofa and easy chairs in front of the warming wood burner, perfect for romantic evenings. Unwind after dinner by watching your favourite movies on the Smart TV. The dining area seats two perfectly for those romantic dinners and the kitchen is fully equipped with a two-ring induction hob and an electric combined oven, grill, and microwave. There is a special hot tap for making tea and coffee, as well as a kettle and a small, countertop freezer is housed in the cupboard off the lounge. Upstairs is a charming king-size bedroom where you can enjoy a good night’s sleep with open storage space for your belongings. There is a second bedroom which has a double bed and wardrobe. The shower room comes with a shower cubicle and WC and completes this lovely property.
Outside, there is a bench seat under the kitchen window in the shared, enclosed yard. Although very small, you can catch the morning sun with your coffee or sit under the string of solar lights with your cocoa before bedtime.
