Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a spring. There are sloping banks in the grounds.. Uniquely positioned to offer private access to the River Coquet where salmon and trout fishing can be available to guests, this cosy stone cottage has been sympathetically reconfigured internally to incoporate a large family bathroom which contains a top-of-the-range roll-top bath, double shower and sink. The existing bathroom has been refurbished to include a laminate floor and has been completely re-tiled. The accommodation is immaculately presented and has the convenience of being all at ground floor level. The spacious living room has a dining table and lovely arched windows where the extensive landscaped grounds can be admired, or take a gentle stroll to the riverbank and watch the Coquet ebb and flow.
Owl Cottage sits on the end of a tiny cluster with three other holiday cottages at High Weldon, only 9 miles north of Morpeth where there is an abundance of good restaurants, shops and inns available. The property will appeal to those seeking a rural location with easy access to explore the wild expanses of unspoilt wilderness in the hills to the west, coupled with miles of sweeping, golden, sandy beaches this Heritage shoreline is renowned for only 9 miles east. Beach 12 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.
Owl Cottage can be booked together with Robin Cottage (CC324018), Wren Cottage (CC324019) and Lapwing Cottage (UK3267) to accommodate up to 14 guests.
A fishing licence is required.
Only dogs allowed at the property.

Fabulous cottage great location enjoyed every minute Would stop again if we are on the area final cottage of a fantastic Family road trip which started in the Lakes then around Scotland south to north and back again to the Midlands Many happy memories made really relaxing

We had a lovely week at Owl Cottage which for 3 adults and a dog is spacious. It has a large sitting room and a large well equipped kitchen (though no dishwasher) and 2 bathrooms. Beautiful quiet location with walks for the dog and easy access to local shop and pubs which served good meals and welcomed dogs. We would definitely recommend to othersl
