About this property

Enjoying a peaceful location within the tranquil grounds of Eastfield Hall, just 2.5 miles inland from the charming old village of Warkworth, with its castles and galleries, lies this delightful Scandinavian-style lodge. Sea View Lodge is set over one floor and has been beautifully presented throughout, offering a delightful base for families and friends looking to explore Northumberland. Step inside and relax within the open-plan living area, whether it be lounging on the sofa in search for a favourite film, or take to the contemporary kitchen where an array of appliances await you. The property comes with added benefit of a washing machine and dishwasher, so you won’t have to lift a finger when it comes to washing up. Grab a book and head for the conservatory, offering a charming space for a bit of me-time, while the views of the garden and towards the distant sea provide a relaxing backdrop. On a sunny day, you’ll want to sit within the mature garden, complete with outdoor furniture where you can set up for alfresco dining or an afternoon picnic. As the evening comes to a close, choose from three impressive bedrooms to catch your rest, including two king-size doubles, one with en-suite facilities and a twin room, which would be perfect for children. When you’re ready to tear yourself away from this charming abode, venture into the village of Warkworth where you can explore the stunning ruins of Warkworth Castle or be rowed across the River Coquet to discover a 14th century chapel, where you can catch glimpses of seals and otters swimming up to the rock face. The village is also home to a number of pubs and eateries, so you can enjoy eating away from the kitchen, along with many shops where gifts and souvenirs can be purchased. Get to know your surroundings further by heading up the Northumberland Coast AONB, where you will be able to meander along the sandy beaches, spot the endearing wildlife or cycle along miles of quaint country lanes to further appreciate the stunning location. Explore the sand dune grassland backing onto the bay in Alnmouth, perfect for an afternoon of walking or wildlife spotting, or find the bustling towns of Amble and Alnwick where you can explore an award-winning marina and dine within the setting of the unique tree house. With plenty to fill your holiday itinerary, consider Sea View Lodge as you next holiday base to Northumberland.

Warkworth is a charming, old Northumberland village almost completely surrounded by a loop in the River Coquet, about a mile from the coast. At one end of the village lies the stunning ruin of Warkworth Castle, an English Heritage Site, and at the other sits the parish Village church of St Lawrence. Inbetween the Castle and the Church lies many inns, upmarket shops and galleries, gift shops and tea rooms, ensuring visitors have plenty to choose from.

One towel for 2 people is not enough for a week. Also a hand towel in the kitchen is useful - luckily I took my own. Overall though it is a lovely, clean environment and the pots, pans, crockery etc were nice and clean. The weather wasn't conducive to spending time in the garden but it is a very nice space,as is the conservatory. We enjoyed our stay!

I contacted Paul, the owner, 48 hours before setting off on our holiday and he was very friendly, very helpful and all instructions were accurate. The house itself is absolutely gorgeous, in a lovely garden with a beautiful immaculate interior. The beds were so comfortable, with plenty of pillows and the duvets were very warm. The home has everything anyone could wish for and is spotlessly clean, there was a lovely welcome pack and lots of information about the area too. We would definitely come back again to Sea View in the future. Would recommend it to anyone.

Lovely childrens bedroom. The ensuite bathroom was very small but the shower was good, just not much room to move around. Nice conservatory with books and games and the welcome pack was brilliant. Plenty of beaches to visit but we struggled with really awful weather and there weren't a lot of indoor places to visit locally. Would like to return in the summer.
