It was spotlessly clean, well thought out with plenty of space, had good quality appliances and plenty of crockery etc. It is well situated for walking to local shops, pubs and restaurants and there is a microbrewery tap less than a mile away near Morrisons supermarket. We can highly recommend this cottage. Amble is a good location from which to visit local birdwatching or historical sites or catch the train from Alnmouth to Newcastle and Edinburgh.

Amble itself is a good base for exploring the glorious beaches and castles of the North East.

Thanks to the owners for providing such a wonderful stay. On arrival we experienced the ‘wow’ factor! The cottage was spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming (thanks also for the food provisions). Canny Cottage is surprisingly spacious and furnished to a high standard - the owners certainly have thought of everything to make us totally comfortable. We are already talking about returning at a future date! We will be sad to leave in the morning.
