The Loft is a first floor holiday apartment tucked away in a courtyard setting in the very centre of this popular, picturesque, historic village and is only 100 yards from the river, where you can sit and watch the world go by. This delightful village is dominated by its fine 12-century castle and riverside walks, with a wonderful medieval bridge nearby, waiting to be discovered. Only 1 mile from a sandy bay which stretches from Amble to Alnmouth in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Set on the coastal route providing over 20 miles of golden sands. Alnwick Castle and gardens 6 miles. Boats trips to Coquet Island to view the seabirds from Amble only 2 miles. Ideal location for exploring all the North East counties. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

The loft is one of the best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in. It was perfect,and the Owner has literally thought of everything one would need for a very comfortable stay and is finished to a very high standard. The location couldn't have been better also it was quite and peaceful. An absolute jem! Will differently return.

Excellent location - a variety of walks from the door, a pub and a post office round the corner! No fresh food available in the shop, so stock up beforehand. The apartment has lots of nice touches, a drawer of really useful bits and pieces, and a good selection of maps. We suggest if the summer continues very warm, a thinner duvet on the double bed would be welcome, and a spot to sit in the courtyard too!But no complaints about really good accommodation in a lovely village.
