Be welcomed into this wonderful reverse-level property and ascend the stairs to find the living space, beginning with a spacious sitting area sporting contemporary furniture and high ceilings, with sage roof beams and wooden flooring complementing a grey sofa and black woodburning stove, an ideal space to relax with a book at the end of the day, and here you will also find a dining table. A second dining table can be found in the stylish kitchen, continuing the opulent feel of the sitting room with illuminating skylights, wooden flooring, contemporary monochrome furniture and many amenities to cater to your culinary needs.
When sleep calls, descend to the ground floor where there is a bathroom to soak the sand from your hair before you recline in one of the two bedrooms, a double and a twin, both with stripy blankets and tasteful décor. Seahouses is a fantastic coastal town boasting a beautiful sandy beach where you can enjoy watersports, wild swimming, walking and picnics with a view. Explore the coast further with Serenity Farne Island Boat Tours or head into town to walk beside the harbour and try out local produce at one of the many tasty eateries and independent stores on offer.

Seahouses offers a variety of shops and a good selection of inns, pubs and eating places. Nearby are miles and miles of splendid sandy beaches and the opportunity to visit the bird sanctuary or seal colony on the famous Farne Islands with boat trips running daily from Seahouses, is not to be missed. There are numerous castles and great houses to explore, such as the magnificent castles at Bamburgh, Cragside, and Alnwick (home of the Duke of Northumberland), to mention just a few. Golf, fishing and riding are also available locally.

The location is excellent, close walking distance to the seafront and local shops and restaurants. Comfy beds, great facilities, free parking on the road outside, and nice little touches like providing dishwasher tablets, tea bags and biscuits. I would definitely stay here again. A couple of little notes for the property owner though; the oven needs cleaning, when we tried to use it we immediately set off the smoke alarms so reverted to using the hob instead. Also, the notes ask that guests put rubbish in the dustbins in the garage, but does not include any info on how to get into the garage! We searched all over for a key and called the customer service number to ask and were told that someone would get back to us but no one did. By sheer fluke one of the kids was nosing in cupboards while we were loading up the car to leave and found the garage key so we were able to put our rubbish away as requested, but we had missed the local rubbish collection by then. I think these instructions need to be clearer or the key more visible. Both small issues though and wouldn't stop me staying again or recommending to others.

Loved the layout of the bedrooms on the lower floor and the large lounge and kitchen on the upper floor. Will definitely book to stay again even though parking is difficult.

The cottage exceeded our expectations, everything you could need during the stay was there. A beautiful cottage and it's location was perfect. Looking forward to returning.
