Northern Hideaways is located in the coastal town of Seahouses just a 2-minute walk from the stunning fishing village itself with many shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. In addition, this property benefits from some of the most famous beaches in the world including the endless pristine shores of Bamburgh Castle within an easy walk.
Inside, this delightful stone cottage has been brought back to life with beautiful, stylish finishes whilst maintaining its original character and charm. The living room is a real treat, it’s striking beamed ceilings and wood burner provide you with an instant warm feeling whilst enjoying the 42" Smart TV. What better place to be after a day’s exploring? The standard of furnishings and finishes will give you that never wanting to leave holiday feeling. The two kingsize bedrooms exude class with a hint of seaside for good measure. The master room features a wall panelled backdrop with large built-in wardrobes. The kingsize guest room offers plenty of space and endless comfort. Head outside and take advantage of, not one but, two patio areas where you can sit and relax; maybe even dine in the glorious coastal sunshine.
Seahouses village has many amenities you can take advantage of. A local supermarket is just a minutes walk away with many other local food stores and pubs in easy reach. Walk to the historic Bamburgh Castle from your front door, taking in the endless coastline views Seahouses has to offer. Local boat trips host unforgettable family days out to idyllic places like the Farne islands, a real treat to see the nature of the North East at its best.
Northumberland landmarks are within easy reach such as Alnwick Castle which was used in some scenes of the ’Harry Potter’ films. Northumberland is one of the friendliest counties in England and truly deserved the award in 2018 for the ’Best County to Visit’ in the British Tourism Awards. Take a trip into Newcastle Upon Tyne and see the iconic Tyne Bridge or drive over to Hadrian’s Wall and visit some of the Roman museums. Beach 800 yards. Shop 200 yards, pub 0.3 miles, restaurant 70 yards.

We actually enjoyed our stay here but the cottage was not as described by cottages.comWe were promised a Bluetooth speaker, a welcome hamper and that the cottage would be decorated for Christmas. None of these happened, and the owner did not respond when I queried this. Nearly all the plates were chipped, a glass was chipped and the scissors were broken. The dishwasher was not working properly and this was because the fiilter was blocked. The sofa was covered in white dog hairs.I contacted cottages.com on our return to point a few things out and they responded saying the owner said we had left the cottage unsatisfactory and he had to replace broken items. This is a lie but the owner would not speak to us about it. AVOID unless you want lies told about yourself.It’s also on a very noisy road and only has single glazing.

Lovely house in great location on Main St. Lots of shops within a 5 minute walk. The house was clean and well presented, with contemporary decor & great dining kitchen/living area with everything you would expect. Very close to restaurants and cosy pubs which were very popular with dogs & their owners!Walking distance to the beach, Bamburgh & Beadnell. Would definitely recommend St Cuthberts.
