Aptly named Seaview House is a substantial, detached holiday property which faces directly out to sea, with stunning views across to the Farne Islands. Two of the double bedrooms and a shower room are on the ground floor, where there is also a utility room leading to a lovely sun room, which overlooks the large enclosed garden. Enjoy dining al fresco whilst watching the children and pets play. The spacious living/dining room runs the full length of the house, and is located on the first floor to maximise the amazing sea views over golden sands and towards Bamburgh Castle from the full height windows. The kitchen, additional bathroom and master bedroom, also with large windows, are on the first floor.
Seaview House is located at St Aidan on the fringe of the traditional fishing village of Seahouses, where there are tea rooms, restaurants, pubs and shops, all within a short walk. Take a trip to the Farne Islands and see the nesting seabirds and grey seal colonies. The picture postcard village of Bamburgh, protected by its dramatic fortress, is 2 miles north, with its wide golden sandy beach where the tidal island of Lindisfarne can be viewed. Steeped in history, Waren Mill is a further 2 miles up the coast. Once an important port, its harbour has long since disappeared, silted up beneath the sands of the estuary. The bird sanctuary at Budle Bay has a vast expanse of mud flats at low tide, which is home to thousands of sea and land birds, perfect for keen birdwatchers. The market town of Alnwick, with its castle and many facilities, is a few miles inland. Alnwick Garden, with its Grand Cascade waterfall and restaurant within the largest treehouse in Europe, is within easy reach and a popular attraction. Horse riding is available nearby and there is an impressive golf course on the links close by. Seaview House offers an idyllic coastal retreat for families and friends looking to explore the Heritage Coast, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Beach 50 yards. Excellent location but for 80 year olds the sofa was too low and seats too long in the leg. A higher seat would have been appreciated by 3 of our party who sat on the dining chairs

Upon arrival accommodation not ready but we were offered late check out by cleaner which was very much appreciated.Lawns not cut front or rear of property either before or during the holiday.On entering property 3 buckets found in Utility Room in middle of floor causing a trip hazard, extensive cracks and staining on ceiling from an obvious water leak which we had not been advised of prior to our arrival despite speaking to the Management Company only two days before this. The signage around the property stated the repairs would be carried out at some future unspecified date when a break in the bookings allowed.During the course of the holiday there were significant leaks wetting the Utility Room floor and running through the ceiling lights causing us concern and an additional slip hazard which had to be constantly mopped up.When we opened windows and doors notable amounts of fluff, old pet hairs and general dirt blew out from under furniture. On closer inspection it was apparent that cleaning had not took place for some while underneath furniture in all rooms.Property a good size for our party and handy location for beach and town.
