Guests say

Bluebell Lodge is praised for its beautiful, tranquil setting and well-kept grounds, with wildlife adding to the charm. Guests appreciate the clean, comfortable accommodations and the welcome touches, though some mention minor issues with maintenance and facilities. The location is convenient for local amenities, with easy access to shops and the coast, but not ideal for walking to attractions.

Most guests found the lodge to be clean and well-presented, with only a few remarks about dust, cobwebs, and the need for a more thorough cleaning in some areas. The overall high standard of cleanliness contributes positively to the experience.

The lodge's location is generally well-regarded for its beauty and proximity to local shops and the seaside. However, some guests noted the lack of walkability to certain attractions and the presence of peacocks, which may affect sleep for light sleepers.

Guests find the lodge comfortable, with a welcoming atmosphere and cosy furnishings. Some guests mentioned the beds being a bit hard and the sofas not being back-friendly, indicating room for improvement in comfort.

Facilities are generally appreciated, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living space. However, there are several comments about maintenance issues such as TV reception, Wi-Fi connectivity, and minor problems that were promptly addressed.

While guests mention welcome packs and a bottle of wine, there are not enough reviews referencing these gifts to accurately score thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

It was in beautiful tranquil surroundings and we wouldn't hesitate to go back and to recommend. The only slight downside for us was not being able to walk into Saltburn but it is just a short drive

Everything was as it should be , comfortable enough seating and beds . From this point of view you couldn’t ask for much more . There are a couple of minor problems for me personally. First is the WIFI isn’t great and if like me you had a 7 year old who likes his tv and his Nintendo and it keeps dropping out then it’s annoying. The second thing is because of its location you can’t walk anywhere. The car is needed for everything . You can walk around the grounds but that’s it . These are minor gripes as the actual cabin is nice .

The cottage was very clean and we had all we needed for our stay. In a lovely country location. Our little dog enjoyed walking round the green and meeting new friends from the other cottages. We were very comfortable here and the shops were very close by. We have booked to come back here again next year.
