Located next to Tabley Grange where the friendly owners reside, once inside you’ll be greeted by a wonderful mix of beautifully coordinated fixtures and furnishings with additional luxury touches such as a boudoir bath and embroidered towels and robes. Outside, guests have private use of good-sized gardens with a summer house, and also access to the extensive grounds of Tabley Grange including the tennis courts. Footpaths are also available direct from the door through the adjoining countryside down to the stream and beyond.

Just over 3 miles away is the quaint and quirky market town of Knutsford where you’ll find ample pubs, restaurants, independent shops and supermarkets to accommodate for all tastes. An abundance of additional towns and villages are also easily accessible including Pickmere, Great Budworth, Mobberley, Altrincham, Hale and Alderley Edge which can all be reached in under 20 minutes. The local train stations of Knutsford and Plumley are both only a 5-minute drive away and provide regular direct services to the cities of both Manchester and Chester in around 45 minutes.

Just a few minutes’ walk from The Barn is the Royal Cheshire County Show Ground and around a 10-minute drive is National Trust property Tatton Park, making it a perfect base for local events including the RHS Flower Show. Tabley Hall itself is just 1 mile away, and once home to the Leicester family is now open for visitors, and often used a TV and film location. Most recent credits include Peaky Blinders, Antiques Roadtrip and The Forsyth Saga. Other historic houses and gardens include National Trust Dunham Massey (15 minutes) and Arley Hall and Gardens (20 minutes). For aviation enthusiasts Manchester Airport is just a 15-minute drive where you can visit the Runway Visitor Park, and Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre and Observatory is around 20 minutes away. For a wonderful day trip the stunning Peak District National Park can be reached just past Macclesfield in around 45 minutes.
